The Faculty of Sport Sciences Recreation programme is designed to cultivate recreation leaders who possess the requisite knowledge, skills and professional ethics to analyse the needs of the environment and society in the field of recreation. The programme instils the ability to plan and implement recreational programmes that are aligned with the expectations of society, the natural structure, historical and cultural richness of the environment in which they live.
The overarching objective of the recreation department is to cultivate individuals who have achieved a state of inner harmony with themselves and their surroundings. These individuals are characterised by their efficiency in utilising their leisure time in accordance with their intellectual and personal interests. Furthermore, they are motivated to contribute to the development of a society that is both physically and spiritually robust, which is a crucial indicator of economic and social advancement within a given community.
Upon successful completion of the pedagogical formation certificate programme, students are eligible to pursue employment as physical education and sports teachers in schools affiliated with M.E.B. In addition to this, they are also permitted to pursue further education at the master's and doctoral levels in fields related to Sports Sciences. Furthermore, they are eligible to apply for positions as academic staff in universities, provided that they fulfil the necessary conditions.

In accordance with the stipulations outlined in the pertinent legislation, internal transfer is permissible to all faculties and colleges, provided that the stipulated conditions are met. Furthermore, it is possible to transfer to analogous programmes at other institutions.
