The overarching objective of the Coaching Education Programme is to cultivate contemporary coaches who are endowed with the requisite knowledge, skills and attitudes that can be applied in the pertinent domain of the Sports Coaching profession. These coaches are expected to have internalised ethical values, to be cognisant of the prevailing circumstances in the global sports arena, and to have embraced the significance of lifelong learning.
The establishment of our department was predicated on an understanding of education at international standards. The objective of the department is to train individuals who have a keen awareness of the necessity for change and development, who possess advanced equipment and competencies to serve performance sports and mass sports, who are capable of questioning, producing, researching and leading, and who will improve the quality of life of society and shape the future as coaches.
Graduates of the Department of Coaching are awarded a third-level coaching certificate from the federation to which the sports branch they choose as a speciality branch is affiliated. This certification enables them to pursue a career as a coach in their chosen speciality branch. In addition, students who successfully obtain a pedagogical formation certificate are eligible to pursue employment as physical education and sports teachers in schools that are affiliated with the Ministry of Education. Furthermore, these graduates have the option to pursue advanced education at the master's and doctoral levels in related fields of sports sciences. They also have the potential to become academic staff members at universities, provided they meet the stipulated criteria.

In accordance with the stipulations outlined in the pertinent legislation, the transfer of faculties and colleges within an institution is permissible, provided that the requisite conditions are met. Furthermore, it is possible to transfer to analogous programmes at other institutions.
The transfer of credits from associate degree programmes with a focus on coaching to the department in question is a possibility.
