The Department of Aviation Management trains qualified human resources who can work in many management and lower-level departments such as flight operations, safety management, marketing officer, etc. of organizations in the aviation sector that serve in the aviation fields of activity. In addition to educating experienced and knowledgeable students with theoretical and practical knowledge in the aviation industry, the Aviation Management department also contributes to the aviation industry with advanced scientific studies and research. For this purpose, the Aviation Management department provides knowledge and skills in areas such as civil aviation, information technologies, aircraft and aircraft, general economy, international aviation, logistics, accounting, airline security, passenger services and international transportation.
The primary goal of the Aviation Management Department is to train candidates who have the knowledge and skills to meet both the current and future needs of businesses operating in the aviation sector. In this regard, with an undergraduate degree in Aviation Management, our students will be able to think critically, rationally and creatively, act in the light of science and technology, and will have the academic knowledge that will enable them to assume leading roles in different disciplines of aviation. |
Our students who graduate from the Department of Aviation Management will have the opportunity to find employment at an international level in various sectors, public and private organizations, airline companies and various airport services such as ground handling, cargo services, flight operations, airport and facility planning services.
The Department of Aviation Management accepts horizontal transfer students to associate/undergraduate programs within the quota in line with the "Regulation on the Principles of Transfer Between Associate and Undergraduate Programs in Higher Education Institutions, Double Major, Minor and Inter-Institutional Credit Transfer".
All students who want to transfer to the Aviation Management Department through Vertical Transfer are placed by ÖSYM if they take the Vertical Transfer Exam and get the sufficient score. Students who meet all the requirements are thus entitled to receive a four-year undergraduate education at our school. In addition, Istanbul Gelişim University associate degree students have the opportunity to study with a 50 percent scholarship if they win the paid quota through DGS.
