OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS
Objectives of the Course Unit:	Dersin amacı; karar vericilerin kâr odaklı politika ve uygulamalarının doğada ve toplumsal katmanlar üzerinde yarattığı tahribatın önüne geçebilmek adına çevre ve toplum odaklı faaliyetlere duyulan ihtiyaç dersin temel motivasyonudur. Ders çevresel ve ekonomik kalkınma uygulamalarını politik ve yönetimsel yaklaşımlarla günışığına çıkararak, öğrencilere sürdürülebilirlik politikalarını kıyaslama becerisi kazandırarak, yeni politikalar geliştirebilme yetkinliğini verebilmeyi amaçlamaktadır.
Contents of the Course Unit:	Dersin içeriği, çevresel dışsallıklardan ve piyasa aksaklıklarından yola çıkarak sürdürülebilirlik kavramının tarihsel ve teorik çerçevesini; kavramsal ve teorik arka plan dahilinde, Dünyada ve Türkiye’de uygulanan sürdürülebilirlik politikalarının kıyaslamalı olarak değerlendirilmesini; endüstriyel ekoloji ve yeşil ekonominin sayısal göstergelerinin yorumlanmasını; ve sürdürülebilirliğin adalet ve refahla olan ilişkisinin analizini kapsamaktadır.

Çevresel dışsallıklar ve piyasa aksaklıkları çerçevesinde sürdürülebilirlik kavramına duyulan ihtiyacı açıklar.
Sürdürülebilirlik faaliyetlerinin tarihsel gelişimini ve kritik noktalarını dönemsel olarak sıralar.
Çevresel sürdürülebilirlik ve sürdürülebilir kalkınma teorilerini iktisadi ve sosyal göstergeler yardımıyla açıklar.
Endüstriyel süreçte çevresel sürdürülebilirliğin sağlanması için gerçek hayattaki uygulamaları karşılaştırarak karar verir.
Kahverengi-yeşil alanlara dair ekonomik göstergeleri analiz eder.
Çevresel adalet ve refah kavramlarının ilişkisini ve uygulanabilecek politikaları farklı varsayımlar ve hipotezler ışığında tartışır.
