OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: implement safe working principles of the pathology laboratory , using light microscopes and win -care skills , recognition of laboratory equipment and use , preparing to follow tissue from the body , ensuring the preparation of fixatives and tissue fixation , microtome and winning the section preparation skills cryostat , bringing the case to be examined under the microscope of tissues.
Contents of the Course Unit: acceptance of biopsy pathology laboratories , macroscopically , tissue tracking, blocking , taking in section observation and application topics .

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Sorts safety and the rules of working in pathology laboratories and diagnostic consumables used and used properly
Chemicals used in the diagnosis of pathology and laboratory uses in the framework of security rules.
It recognizes all devices in the pathology laboratory uses .
Prepare fixative to ensure the fixation of organs and tissue samples from the lab, it allows the fixation performs manual and automated tissue processing
Parts of organs and tissues from the lab and makes it ready for microscopic examination.
