OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS
Objectives of the Course Unit:	Bu dersin amacı, baş-boyun bölgesinin temel hastalıklarını ve patojen oluşumlarını tanımlayarak bunların teşhisi ve tedavi yöntemleri hususunda öğrencilerin bu temel bilgileri kullanarak bu vakalarda ilgili çözümleri saptamaları ve önlemleri almalarında katkıda bulunmaktır.
Contents of the Course Unit:	Bu dersin içeriği, maksiller enfeksiyonları, odontojen-nonodontojen kistler ve odontojen tümörleri, tükürük bezi hastalıklarını, maksiller sinüs hastalıklarını, pereprotetik cerrahiyi, çene kemiklerindeki osteonekroz sebeplerini, apikal rezeksiyon tekniğini, reimplantasyon yöntemlerini, distraksiyon osteogenezini, oral implantoloji uygulamalarını ve maksiller sinüs tabanını kaldırma yöntemlerini kapsamaktadır.

Öğrenciler maksillofasiyal enfeksiyonlar hakkında bilgi sahibi olarak bu enfeksiyonların yayılma yollarını yorumlar. Öğrenciler baş-boyun bölgesinin odontojen-nonodontojen kistleri ve tedavi yöntemleri hakkında bilgi sahibi olur. Öğrenciler odontojen tümörler ve tedavi yöntemleri hakkında bilgi sahibi olur. Öğrenciler tükürük bezleri hastalıkları ve bunlarla ilgili sendromların tedavi yöntemleri hakkında bilgi sahibi olur. Öğrenciler maksiller sinüs hastalıklarının tanı ve tedavisi hakkında bilgi sahibi olup açıklar. Öğrenciler protez öncesi cerrahi işlemleri kapsayan preprotetik cerrahi işlemler hakkında bilgi sahibi olur ve bu tedavi yöntemlerini yapabilir. Öğrenciler çene kemiğinin ostemiyelitine ve nekrozuna neden olan faktörler hakkında bilgi sahibi olur ve açıklar. Öğrencileri, apikal rezeksiyon endikasyonları, kontraendikasyonları ve uygulama tekniği hakkında yeterli bilgiye sahip olup açıklar. Öğrenciler reimplantasyon koşulları ve şartları hakkında bilgi sahibi olur ve açıklar. Öğrenciler distraksiyon osteogenezi hakkında bilgi sahibi olur. Öğrenciler oral implantoloji uygulamaları hakkında bilgi sahibi olur ve bu uygulamalarda dikkat edilmesi gereken kuralları bilir. Öğrenciler maksiller sinüs tabanı kaldırma işlemi yöntemlerini bilir ve bu uygulamalarda dikkat edilmesi gereken kuralları bilir.
