OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS
Objectives of the Course Unit:	Understanding the basic theoretical knowledge and skills related to quality management in health institutions, understanding the basic concepts, principles and techniques necessary for the effective management of quality in health institutions in today's changing conditions, and quality processes and practices in Turkey's health care system in the light of patient and employee safety principles. It is intended to provide an understanding of the
Contents of the Course Unit:	Quality Management course in Health Institutions, Quality concept, Historical Development of Quality, Total Quality Management, Quality and Leadership, Self-Ethics, Process Management, Total Quality Management in Health Services, Customer Satisfaction in Health Institutions, Quality Measurement, Teamwork, Official Correspondence Rules, Healthcare It includes Continuous Quality Improvement, Patient Rights and Accreditation.

To be able to define the concept of quality in health services
Ability to associate quality with leadership, corporate culture and teamwork
To be able to interpret the contribution of continuous quality improvement to health services.
Explain the quality assurance systems and be able to discuss the features of quality assurance systems.
Ability to rank national and international patient safety targets
To be able to define the philosophy of Total Quality Management
Explain the concept of accreditation and be able to introduce accreditation standards
o be able to explain managerial responsibilities in the quality process in health services.
