OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: The main objective of this course is to teach students the supply chain processes, from raw material to the end consumer, with a holistic perspective. The course aims to provide fundamental operational competencies such as planning, purchasing, inventory, and logistics. At the same time, it prepares students for the modern challenges of the sector by addressing current topics such as sustainability, digitalization, and risk management.
Contents of the Course Unit: The course begins with the fundamental concepts and strategies of supply chain management, examining core functions such as demand planning, inventory management, and purchasing. In the following weeks, it focuses on the management of physical goods flow, including topics like logistics network design, transportation, and distribution. Finally, the course addresses modern and strategic subjects such as information technologies, analytics, sustainability, and risk management, offering students a vision of the supply chains of the future.
