OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This course aims to introduce the concept of customs, which is one of the most important tools for Foreign trade and Turkish Customs Legislation.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include the subjects as in definition of Customs and Turkish Customs Legislation, its applications.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Remember basic information about import, export and customs legislation.
Define the basic documents used in foreign trade.
Define the methods of valuation of goods arriving the customs area according to national and international laws and rules.
Remember any irregular transactions that may occur in customs procedures and custom house fines arising from them.
