OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS
Objectives of the Course Unit:	Bu dersle öğrencilere günümüzde ülkelerin ekonomik olarak birbirleriyle eklemlenmesiyle şekillenen sürecin tarihsel boyutunun ve bu sürecin ülkelere yansıyan olumlu ve olumsuz yanlarının kazandırılması amaçlanmaktadır.
Contents of the Course Unit:	Dersin içeriği, küreselleşmenin başlangıcı, devletlerin ve piyasaların küreselleşmesi, küreselleşmenin yükselişi, Bretton Woods, gümrük tarifeleri ve ticaret uygulamaları, Dünya Ticaret Örgütü, sermayenin küreselleşmesi, haberleşme ve ulaşım maliyetleri, çokuluslu işletmelerin büyümesi, küreselleşme ile birlikte eşitsizliklerin artışı ve yoksulluk, işgücü yapısındaki değişim, istihdam ve işsizlik, enformel sektör, sendikalaşma, ve sosyal güvenlik sistemleri ve sosyal politikalar konularını kapsamaktadır.

18. ve 19. Yüzyıllarda gerçekleşen küreselleşen ticaretin süreçleriyle, günümüzün uluslararasılaşan ticari faaliyetlerini tarihsel ve politik bir perspektifle kıyaslar
Uluslararası ticari faaliyetlerin dönemlere etkisini ana akım ekonomik farklı iktisadi perspektifleri kullanarak açıklar
1980 sonrası uygulanan neoliberal politikalar sonucu ortaya çıkan ekonomik krizleri bölgesel farklılıkları gözeterek sıralar
“Gıda arzı” ve “küresel ısınma” gibi güncel çevresel sorunlara bakarak uygulanabilecek proaktif politikaları tartışır
İnsani gelişim göstergeleri ile ticari küreselleşme süreçlerini uygulanan neoliberal politikalar çerçevesinde inceler
