OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS |
Objectives of the Course Unit: |
This course aims to teach the economic, political and military policies of East Asian countries and to give students the ability to critically evaluate the policies of regional countries. |
Contents of the Course Unit: |
Contents of the course include East Asia's geopolitical and geoeconomic status, China's rise and its effects on the region, the disputes between Japan and regional countries, the North Korean issue, the Taiwan issue, Russia's Asian policy, regional integration initiatives and relations between Turkey and regional countries. |

Classify the different approaches used in the analysis of East Asia region |
Interpret the factors affecting the current problems in East Asian countries |
Establish cause-effect relationship between internal and external factors affecting economic, political, military and social policies of the regional countries |
Relate historical developments and fundamental dynamics of the current problems in East Asia with the current foreign policies |
