OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This course aims to explain the process of campaigning in tourism and to evaluate how public relations and advertising methods are used in this process.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include the subjects as in definition of tourist concept, evaluation of tourism campaigns, analysis of the structure of communication in tourism enterprises, explanation of the concept of personal communication, discussion of propaganda practices, list the benefits of duplex communication, evaluation of examples of creative approaches to image development.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

List at least 3 of the elements that should be considered in conducting public relations and advertising activities in tourism sector
List at least 4 characteristics of the target audience of tourism ads.
Explain the importance of public relations and advertising in tourism sector through a case study
Analyze the creative strategies to attract the interest of tourism consumers with the help of case studies
Evaluate the importance of country image in terms of tourism with the help of the number of tourists visiting the countries
