Objectives of the Course Unit: | This course aims to introduce students to the ancient Greek and Roman civilisations and to enable students to recognise the main features of Classical Greek and Roman literature through the analyses of the representative texts from a critical vantage point. |
Contents of the Course Unit: | This course covers social, political, cultural, literary, and historical background information about ancient Greek and Roman civilisations as well as the representative literary texts from ancient Greek and Roman literature. |
