Objectives of the Course Unit: | Tell the similarities and differences between the two dominant theories in the study of nationalism. Apply the theoretical discussion in analyzing empirical developments around the world. |
Contents of the Course Unit: | Students are required to read the two dominant books in the study of natioalism and a recent cutting-edge work applying theoretical discussions to the cases of Turkey, Germany, Soviet Union, and post-Soviet Russia |
