OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: The objective of the course is to provide the students with the knowledge to prepare a general training program to develop motor characteristics in accordance with the training principles and methods.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include; training principles and needs, basic concepts of training, training planning principles, needs analysis, exercise priority, training frequency items, severity and intensity of training, resting principles and duration, sportive performance tests and methods, sports injuries and recovery phase, sport productivity components, Daily, monthly, annual training planning and periodizing to improve motor characteristics.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Describe training planning principles.
Explain sportive performance measurement and evaluation methods.
Apply performance measurement protocols.
Interpret the effects on the performance of weekly, monthly and yearly planned training programs and evaluate the results.
Prepare a general training program to improve motor skills.
