Objectives of the Course Unit: | The objective of the course is to help students gain the knowledge to explain the processes related to socialization in sports and to conduct sample case analysis for the issues of deviation and violence in sports activities. |
Contents of the Course Unit: | Contents of the course include; definition and concept of sports sociology, birth and historical development of sociology of sports, historical development of olympic games, definition of society, society and sport, family and sports from a sociological perspective, education and sports from a sociological perspective, culture and sports from a sociological perspective, sports and socialization and deviation and violence in sports activities. |
