OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: The aim of this course is to define the concepts of political communication, elections, party politics, reflection of political issues and political campaigns in the first place, establishing connections between politics and communication concepts.
Contents of the Course Unit: Topics include election campaigns, propaganda, structures of political messages, political communication in different forms of administration, culture of democracy, political communication tools and actors, use of these tools.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Examine the concepts and theoretical approaches to political communication through the articles.
Relate between the concepts of public opinion, the media, democracy and the public in the direction of the information.
Compare campaigns and advertisements carried out by political parties with 8 items over the last election.
Interpret the role of political communication in the provision of political legacy and correctly interpret the relationships between media and politics.
Design to work with a sample election campaign with group work.
