Objectives of the Course Unit: |
To explain relationships and interactions between media and society. |
Contents of the Course Unit: |
It focuses on the relationship between media and culture, the media impact on conventional cultural practices such as art and literature, how the media create a new popular culture as well as forming cultural hegemony, and how it influences practices of consumption. |
