OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: The aim of this course is to develop the students’ reading and writing skills in a variety of social scientific disciplines, including sociology, anthropology, psychology and social psychology.
Contents of the Course Unit: Through in-class discussions of the assigned texts and writing exercises the students are encouraged to identify, critically analyze, and articulate the main points and arguments of the respective authors, and systematically express their own opinions in writing, relying on outlines that cap their main points.​

Defines the basic concepts, ideas and arguments in texts from various disciplines of social sciences.
