OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: It is aimed to gain knowledge and skill related to health promotion, protection, early diagnosis, treatment and care of diseases, education of the patient and family, and rehabilitation.
Contents of the Course Unit: Pain and Painful Patient Care, Fluid-Electrolyte and Acid-Base Imbalance, Cardiovascular System Diseases and Nursing Care, Endocrine System Diseases and Nursing Care, Diabetes and Metabolic Diseases and Nursing Care, Blood Diseases and Nursing Care, Respiratory System Diseases and Nursing Care, Urinary System Diseases and Nursing Care, Digestive System Diseases and Nursing Care.

Explains the basic concepts and principles related to internal diseases.
Assesses the patient as a whole biologically, psychologically and socially.
Explains the risk factors of diseases related to all systems within the scope of internal diseases.
Explains the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases related to systems.
Explains the signs and symptoms of the diseases.
Examines the individual / family in need of rehabilitation.
Practices the nursing process in nursing care.
Guides to improve the health behavior of the individual-family and society.
