OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: To teach the responsibilities of a nurse in case of infectious diseases.
Contents of the Course Unit: Include infection ,infectious diseases and infection related nursing concepts, the frequency of infectious diseases depending on the systems,diagnosis,treatment,complications and nursing care.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Explain the formation conditions of infection.
Understand the importance of the control of infectious diseases.
Correlate immunization and vaccination with their importance in human health.
Examine the diagnosis,treatment,complications and nursing care of the frequent infectious diseases depending on the systems.
Provide appropriate nursing services in accordance with specifications of an infectious disease.
