OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: It examines theories and methods of Cultural Anthropology with examples from Turkey and other parts of the world in the context of current issues.
Contents of the Course Unit: Major themes, universalism, holism, integration, adaptation and cultural relativity, the bases of four subfields approach in anthropology and the distinction between social and cultural anthropology.

Describe the basic concepts of social anthropology.
Explain the relationship between the concepts which define the development process of humankind.
