OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: To teach the care plans for newborns and high-risk neonates.
Contents of the Course Unit: Involves neonatal nursing, neonatal period, assesment of the newborn and the care of healthy and high-risk neonates.

Understand the importance of the neonatal period.
Evaluate newborns and families.
Implement individualized developmental care.
Identify the risk factors for the newborn.
