OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: To students; To provide basic concepts and information about conditioning training and the knowledge and skills to design training plans and periodization processes that improve basic fitness characteristics such as endurance, strength and speed.
Contents of the Course Unit: Within the scope of training planning and periodization information, it includes conditioning training methods and current approaches that aim to develop basic biomotor abilities such as strength, endurance and speed. It covers fitness training planning, performance evaluation tests of athletes and the effects of psychological processes on fitness.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Explains the physiological processes of energy systems in the human body.
Applies test protocols that determine sports performance.
Evaluates the data obtained to determine fitness levels.
Discusses the effects of different training methods on improving fitness.
Designs training plans and periodization processes that improve aerobic and anaerobic capacity for sports branches.
