Objectives of the Course Unit: | The objective of the course is to provide students with the ability to examine, report and evaluate the functioning of the sports economy and sports organizations from an economic perspective. |
Contents of the Course Unit: | The content of the course covers sports in the economic thought, social supply and demand in sport, general characteristics, concepts of consumption and investment in sport, contribution of sport management to economic and social development, market structures and competition balance of sport organizations, sports investments financing, sports expenditures and cost-benefit analysis, economic evaluation of sports organizations, valuation of sports assets, search for resources from economic perspective, evaluation of efforts towards production of wealth and benefit. |
