OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS |

Objectives of the Course Unit: | The objective of the course is to help students gain the skills to play the chess game and to teach chess at basic level. |
Contents of the Course Unit: | Content of the course includes fundamentals of chess and history of chess, starting position of pieces on the board, movement of chess pieces, playing of chess pieces, chess clock, irregular positions, game finishing, fast finish (guillotine), scoring, King-Castle Checkmate, King-Queen Checkmate, Two Bishops Checkmate, Knight-Bishop Checkmate, Fundamental Principles of Pawn game and Pawn Game Ending, Seven Assessment Principles in Chess, Strategy and Tactics in Chess, Ajourned Games, Fast Chess, Thunderbolt, Opening Movements in Chess and Teaching Methods of Chess. |
