OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: Objective of the course is to help students gain the knowledge and skill to be able to adjust the material of traditional, reeled or classical bow types, to apply the shooting techniques at advanced level and to calculate the points obtained from shooting.
Contents of the Course Unit: The contents of the course include the introduction of traditional and modern archery materials, special teaching methods in traditional archery, special teaching methods in modern archery, special training technical tactical knowledge, sample training plans and arrow shooting.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Describe the principles of choice of bow and arrow used in traditional and modern archery sport.
Explain and apply the competition rules related with the archery sport.
Select the material specific to individuals with different physical characteristics.
Make the material settings before and during the arrow shooting.
Apply advanced shooting techniques of archery sport.
Calculate the points obtained from the shots.
