| Objectives: | The aim is to provide fundamental concepts related to biochemistry and to impart knowledge on the structure and functions of proteins, enzymes, nucleic acids, vitamins, minerals, and hormones, as well as on key metabolic pathways, including glycolysis, the Krebs cycle, oxidative phosphorylation, glycogenesis, glycogenolysis, lipid metabolism, fatty acid oxidation, and the urea cycle. |
