| Objectives: |
The aim of this course is to teach students advanced concepts and practices in international transportation activities. The course focuses on fundamental structures such as multimodal and combined transportation systems, customs regimes, TIR practices, insurance and risk management in transportation, as well as current issues such as digitalization, green transportation, cost optimization, and global transportation policies. The aim is to equip students with the skills to evaluate strategic decision-making processes in transportation management from a technical, analytical, and sustainability perspective. |

The course content begins with the concepts and documentation of multimodal, intermodal, and combined transportation, covering customs clearance processes, the TIR regime, and international insurance practices. Operational management topics such as risk management, transportation network design, routing, and capacity planning are covered. Digitalization, green transportation and sustainability approaches, transportation cost analysis, and international safety regulations are also covered, aiming to provide students with both technical and current perspectives. |
