Objectives and Contents

Objectives: It is aimed to gain knowledge about properties of materials used in orthosis and prosthetic production.
Content: Introduction to metal, production and purification of metals, crystal structure of metals, phase equilibrium diagrams, solid solubility, structure properties of micro / crystals, alloy, solid solution hardening theory, effects of solid solution hardening theory, methods and properties, welding, brass, soldering techniques effects of brazing, brazing, brazing techniques. Introduction to plastics, viscoelastic behavior, types of plastic and molecular structures, composite materials, monomers, polymers, additives, the effect of the production method on microstructures and mechanical properties, fabrication processes, effects of manufacturing process; micro-changes, shrinkage and degradation, resins and foams, reinforcing fibers, casting bands and other water-adjusted resins and their mechanical properties, their effects on placement and mechanical effects, fabrication processes and materials, welding, adhesives and their effects on structure and properties
