The aim of this course is to develop students’ ability to deliver effective, clear, and scientifically grounded presentations in the field of sport sciences. Within the scope of the course, students are expected to acquire skills in knowledge dissemination, effective public speaking, body language usage, visual material preparation, presentation planning, and audience engagement in academic, professional, and practical sport settings. Furthermore, the course aims to enable students to prepare presentation content using appropriate techniques for athletes, coaches, academics, managers, and various target audiences. |

This course covers the fundamental principles of presentation techniques, effective communication skills, verbal and non-verbal communication, body language, the use of voice, emphasis and diction, coping with presentation anxiety, audience analysis, presentation planning, and content organization. The course addresses the preparation of academic presentations, poster presentations, field application presentations, training briefing presentations, performance analysis report presentations, and project presentations within the field of sport sciences. In addition, effective use of PowerPoint and similar visual presentation tools, the integration of tables, graphs, videos, and visual materials into presentations, the use of scientific sources in presentations, question-and-answer management, and presentation evaluation criteria are examined. The course is supported through theoretical instruction, sample presentation analyses, and individual and group presentation practices. |
