OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: To gain the basic principles of healthy life and the knowledge and skills to perform the first aid intervention to be applied in emergencies.
Contents of the Course Unit: Definitions and concepts related to health knowledge, current developments in health practices, methods of protection from infectious and fatal diseases, methods for developing a healthy lifestyle, hygiene and environmental conditions, harmful habits and effects for children and adolescents, respiratory and circulatory problems.

Defines the basic concepts related to health.
Explain the methods of protection from infectious and deadly diseases.
Explain the basic principles of healthy life.
Explain the relationship of hygiene and environmental conditions with health.
Recognizes the emergency services to be asked for support in case of need.
Applies first aid intervention in emergency situations.
