OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: The aim of the course is to teach the general concepts of political science in order to provide independent thought and to convey the basic information about political life to the students.
Contents of the Course Unit: The content of the course includes the meaning of concepts such as politics, power, legitimacy and authority; the birth of the modern state; nationalism; contemporary political ideologies and movements; different forms of government such as democracy and authoritarianism; political culture; the organization and functioning of the legislative and executive organs; political parties; are interest groups.

Lists ideas, thoughts, theories and approaches in political science.
Defines the elements of political science.
