Graduates of the Department of Television Reporting and Programming can work in any position in camera, sound, light, scenario, editing, log teams or in the regime within media institutions operating in various branches of the sector such as terrestrial / satellite / cable television channels, conventional / digital newspapers, magazines; production, advertising agencies; online platforms, digital broadcasting organisations; social media channels, corporate communication departments of companies; In addition, our graduates, who can work in positions such as director, newscaster, reporter, editor, photo-journalist, SEO journalism, in many positions within the design teams, with many titles such as videographer, social media executive, script writer, reels maker, content producer, media planner, can also pursue an academic career by continuing their higher education.

Occupational Profiles

Graduates of the department can work in public and private sector television institutions and channels, news agencies, production companies, digital broadcasting organisations at every stage from programme production to management. In addition, they can continue their academic careers in their fields.

Horizontal Transition

The department accepts students with horizontal transfer within the quota in accordance with the ‘Regulation on the Principles of Transferring Between Associate Degree and Undergraduate Programmes in Higher Education Institutions, Double Major, Minor and Credit Transfer Between Institutions’

Vertical Transmission

All students who want to transfer to the department by Vertical Transfer are placed by OSYM if they get enough points by taking the Vertical Transfer Exam. Students who fulfil all the requirements are thus entitled to receive a four-year undergraduate education in our school. In addition, Istanbul Gelisim University associate degree students have the opportunity to study with a 50 percent scholarship if they win the paid quota with DGS.
