General Information

Aim of the Program

Communication Design Department brings together today's technologies with design; aims to educate designers who can think analytically, can produce products according to the determined target, have a sense of responsibility, conform to teamwork, follow the world, produce sustainable and interactive designs in communication, digital media and advertising areas.

 

Target of the Program

Communication Design Department aims to educate designers who have advanced knowledge in the field of information and communication technologies, have developed an aesthetic understanding, are able to prepare suitable products for the purpose of technology or aesthetics and blend the parameters successfully according to the purpose of the project and produce successful results. It is also one of the goals of the department to educate generations that will lead in the field of communication design, give direction to the sector and contribute to the vision of the institution or the organization that s/he works at.

Career Opportunities

Today, as technology is rapidly advancing and its presence is felt in every aspect of life, there is a wide range of job opportunities in the public and private sectors for communication design graduates where technology and aesthetics come together.  Sectors, institutions and any field in which internet exists such as journals, magazines and presses, digital publishing houses, design agencies, gaming platforms, television, cinema, internet offer career opportunities for specialized communication designers.

Programmes allowing Horizontal Transfer

Lateral transfer to the programs in Communication Design Department of Faculty of Fine Arts is possible.

Programmes allowing Vertical Transfer

All students who want to come to our departmental via vertical transfer are placed by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) when they can score enough points in the Vertical Transfer Examination.
