Machinery and equipment by checking, masks, patient positioning mold, lead block, and the simulation process for preparing patients with treatment, radiation therapy and simulation with the knowledge and skills is aimed to train qualified health technicians.

Target of the Program

Oncology in the treatment of cancer diseases specialist doctors to work as an assistant to train.

Career Opportunities

Radiotherapists, together with radiotherapy specialists and/or radiation physicists, carry out preparation and treatment services as a team. Radiotherapy applications are generally carried out in relevant departments of university and state hospitals, and radiotherapy departments are widely available in private hospitals. Therefore, employment areas for professional staff have begun to spread.

Future of the Department

The increase in the number of oncology devices and oncology units, which are constantly developing depending on technological developments, also requires an increase in the number of personnel to work in this field

Individuals who want to work in the radiation oncology unit of hospitals and who can comply with the working conditions in radiation areas may prefer.

It can be applied by making use of the oncology department on hospitals.

Working Places

Radiotherapy technicians can work in oncology clinics of public and private hospitals, and in private diagnostic centers. Students who graduate from health services vocational schools can work in the inpatient and outpatient treatment institutions of the Ministry of Health and in institutions providing preventive health services, in hospitals affiliated with the SSK, universities and various organizations, and in private clinics and polyclinics.

Students can transfer to associate degree programs that accept students with the TYT base score.

Vertical transfer is provided to the fields of Emergency Aid and Disaster Management, Nursing and Health Management.
