The main purpose of this program for physiotherapists is to train graduate students who are equipped with advanced knowledge and skills in physiotherapy and rehabilitation, have the ability to organize evidence-based physiotherapy programs according to different patient groups, and are open to research and scientific studies.
The main goal of the program is to train graduates who have the skills to access, present, share and discuss information, are open to innovations, can produce solutions by applying current analytical tools to problems, have professional and ethical values, and have strong communication skills.
Graduates, with research and development knowledge and skills, have a wide range of employment opportunities in the fields of physiotherapy and rehabilitation. At the same time, they can continue their studies at various universities and research units in the country or abroad, and apply to a doctoral program.
The need for qualified physiotherapists is increasing day by day in Turkey and especially in Europe. In academic terms, the lack of academic staff in both state and foundation universities comes to the fore.
Anyone who graduated from the Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation undergraduate program (bachelor degree) of faculties and received the title of "physiotherapist" can apply to the program. Candidates who want to improve themselves both academically and clinically should choose this program.
Physiotherapists enrolled in the program will be able to work in hospitals, medical centers, special education and rehabilitation centers, sports clubs, nursing homes, health centers, etc. At the same time, they will have the right to apply for research assistant positions in both state and foundation universities. After graduating from the program, they will have the right to apply to lecturer positions as a “Specialist Physiotherapist”.
Students enrolled in the Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Master's program with thesis in other universities can enroll in the program by horizontal transfer.
There is no vertical transfer application to the master's program.
