General Information

Aim of the Program

In the field of Hybrid and Electric Vehicles Technology, our country needs a significant number of trained human resources in order to reach a position to compete with automotive manufacturers abroad. With the Hybrid and Electric Vehicles Technology program, our university aims to strengthen the infrastructure of the program by always keeping in touch with companies that have knowledge and equipment in the field of Hybrid and Electric Vehicles Technology. In this direction, our main goal is to be one of the leading actors in production with high added value.

Today's technology is developing rapidly. Hybrid and Electric Vehicles Technology, which is one of the most popular technologies in the world today, has a wide and important place in the development of the modern economy with its wide area of influence and interaction with other sectors. In this context, the aim of the program is to train qualified individuals with sufficient theoretical knowledge and skills for this growing field of the sector.

Target of the Program

Students who successfully complete the Hybrid and Electric Vehicles Technology program, which targets to increase energy efficiency, design uniquely equipped vehicles, and minimize environmental and noise pollution, will have the title of Hybrid and Electric Vehicles Technology technician.

Career Opportunities

Graduates of this program have the opportunity to work in automotive, automotive electrical and electronics, battery production, charging systems and all kinds of post-production maintenance and repair areas. They can establish their own services and workshops with the training provided.

Future of the Department

Hybrid and Electric Vehicles Technology is an area that was born in line with the needs of all rapidly developing vehicle sectors. Also, a wide range of studies have been carried out on electric and hybrid vehicles for many years. Today, both our country and many countries are going through a major change and shifting all their investments to this sector in order to switch to Hybrid and Electric vehicles. In this context, it takes firm steps forward to become the profession of the future by leading the future and following up-to-date technology.

Who Should Choose

Students who follow current technology with design and innovative thinking, are curious, open to "development", follow the globalizing world, and open to all transformations and changes that replace the current fuels with clean energy can easily choose this program.

Working Places

Our students who graduate from the Hybrid and Electric Vehicles Technology program will be trained with knowledge and skills related to their field through the courses and internships they have taken during their 2-year education. It has the opportunity to find a job in automotive factories which produces hybrid and electric vehicles, aircrafts, rail systems and many factories that make all kinds of maintenance-repair, production and design in defense industry, especially in the public sector. In addition, they will have the opportunity to find jobs in facilities producing batteries used in hybrid and electric vehicles, which are becoming widespread today.

Programmes allowing Horizontal Transfer

There are three different ways to transfer horizontally. If the student wants to transfer to another program at the same level in the university he/she is enrolled in, it is possible to transfer using the internal transfer method, if he/she wants to transfer to a different university at the same level, he/she can transfer using the inter-institutional transfer method, and to transfer with the OSYM score, it is possible to transfer using the horizontal transfer with the OSYM score method.

Programmes allowing Vertical Transfer

Students who graduate from the Hybrid and Electric Vehicles Technology program can transfer to departments such as Electrical Engineering, Electrical-Electronics Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Control and Automation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering and Automotive Engineering by OSYM if they are successful in DGS exam.
