Students who pass the course will be able to:
I. Determine and analyze the error performance in digital communication systems,
II. Recognize and design the systems with line coding and partial response signaling,
and channel coding and decoding,
III. Recognize and design the systems with channel equalization, channel modeling,
digital modulation and demodulation,
IV. Recognize and design the systems with modems, digital switching and central
office, communication protocols and networks,
V. Recognize and design the systems with wireless communications, spread spectrum
communication and Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA),
VI. Design communication systems. |
