OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This course aims to examine understanding the relation between the representer and represented in visual and lingual dimensions and the methods to use in designs.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include the understanding of semiology, and application of this understanding in the analysis of communication and meaning.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Know the terminology used in semiology.
Give examples of daily life related with semiology.
Interpret the indicators with the help of semiology knowledge.
Relate the subjects of semiology with daily lives.
Interpret semiology knowledge within framework of theoretical and practical approach.
