OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS |

Objectives of the Course Unit: | This course aims to give students the ability to write film script. To recognize the basic features of the concept of Dramatic Conflict and the rules to be followed in writing scripts, the choosing the right language and words, the creation of the creative idea, to develop cinema, short films and stories with examples. |
Contents of the Course Unit: | To understand the differences between scenario technique with the other types of writing technique, to explore the technical, aesthetic, creative writing and meaning processes of the texts prepared for the purposes of short film, cinema text, advertising and publicity and to contribute to the use of language in a simple and in the easiest way. Students will be able to learn all stages of screen-writing and prepare for film production. |

1. To be able to comprehend the phenomenon of Dramatic Conflict. |
1.1. To be able to direct the phenomenon of dramatic conflict to the construction of a story, tries to use the theoretical and practical knowledge in these areas. |
1.2. Explains how to interpret and evaluate data using the basic knowledge and skills acquired in the field. |
2. Recognizes the functions of visual language in story and narration. |
2.1. To be able to name modern techniques, tools, and cinema and television technologies required for applications related to the field. |
2.2. Explains how to realize a project in cinema and television using professional media and tools related to the field. |
3. To recognize script techniques and types. |
3.1. Distinguishes time and place in a story. |
3.2. Experience writing a story in script form. |
4. Recognizes the techniques of creating a character in a script. |
4.1. Plans the action of the character and the progression in the story. |
4.2. Comprehends the relationship between the axis character and side characters through event and scene fiction. |
5. Understands the importance of dramatic conversation (dialog) in the script. |
5.1. Experiences writing types of dialog. |
5.2. Practices minimizing dialogues to minimize their use. |
