OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: To educate graduates who can effectively perform tasks such as individual health records, health management, organizing and storing documents containing data about health institutions, including all kinds of scientific documents made in the field of medicine and health.
Contents of the Course Unit: Course content; history of medical documentation , medical document definitions of medical documentation concepts , importance of medical documents , usage areas of medical documents , patient file , importance of patient files , standardization of patient files , forms that make up patient files , documents that should be in the file , health concept , health services , Turkish health The structure of the system, organization, types of medical documents, legal requirements of medical documents.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Will be able to recognize the concepts related to medical documentation and basic properties of medical documents.
Explain the importance and application areas of medical records.
Provides regular storage of the information produced by the researchers and communicates them to the relevant parties when necessary.
Interpret qualitative and quantitative analysis of patient files.
Recognize patient numbering and sequencing methods, indexes used in patient files archives.
Know the legal regulations about the responsibility, legal status, confidentiality, security and privacy of medical records.
Conducts public relations duties to inform patients about the functioning of the medical services and the general functioning of the hospital.
Learns and uses the statistics used in the field of health.
