OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: It is aimed to learn basic histological information, normal morphological structure characteristics of cells and tissues in the human body at the microscopic level.
Contents of the Course Unit: Histology includes the study of cells and organelles and the properties of basic tissues.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Defines general concepts and terminology in histology.
Explain cell structure and function at microscopic level.
Defines, evaluates and discusses the basic tissue types that make up the human body and the histological features of these tissues.
