OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: The objective of the course is to teach basic concept of parasitology, evolution of parasites, parasite types and hosts, parasitic diseases and treatment methods, diagnosis, treatment and prevention from verious types of parasites such as Protozoon, Helmint and Arthropod.
Contents of the Course Unit: Parasite-host, Helmints, Cestods, Nematodes, Trematodes,Protozoa, Amoeba, Sporozoons, Toxoplasma gondii, Ciliated protozoa.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Parasitology related terms , the evolution of parasite and host relationships, parasitism types, parasitism of people , do not get called parasitic disease , knows the general and specific clinical symptoms of parasitic diseases .
Parasitic knows the methods of disease diagnosis and implements.
Know the general methods of prevention and control of parasitic diseases and apply .
