OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: temel mikrobiyoloji alanına giren konularda bilgiler vererek,öğrencileri bu bilgilerle donatmak ve meslek yaşamlarında bunları uygulayarak gerek hasta gerekse ülke bazında infeksiyonlarla mücadeleye katkıda bulunmalarını sağlamaktır.
Contents of the Course Unit: Mikrobiyolojinin temel kavramları, tıbbi açıdan önemli mikroorganizmaların sınıflandırılması ve özellikleri, bakterilerin yapısı ve fizyolojisi, taksonomisi, patojenitesi, epidemiyolojisi, genetiği ve moleküler biyolojisi, virüsler ve mantarların sınıflandırılması, konak savunması ve bağışıklama mekanizmalarının açıklanması, antimikrobik maddeler, temizleme, dezenfeksiyon ve sterilizasyonun temel prensipleri ve tanı mikrobiyolojisinin yöntemleri.

1. Mikrobiyolojinin temel kavramlarını açıklar. 2. Tıbbi açıdan önemli mikroorganizmaların sınıflandırılması ve özelliklerini açıklayabilir. 3. Bakterilerin yapısı ve fizyolojisi, taksonomisi, patojenitesi, epidemiyolojisi, genetiği ve moleküler biyolojisi’ni açıklar. 4. Virüsler ve mantarlar’ı sınıflandırır ve özelliklerini açıklar. 5. Konak savunması ve bağışıklama mekanizmalarını açıklar. 6. Antimikrobik maddeler, temizleme, dezenfeksiyon ve sterilizasyon temel prensiplerini açıklar. 7. Tanı mikrobiyolojisi yöntemlerini açıklar.
