OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: Öğrenci oral mikrobiyoloji, bakteriyoloji, mikoloji, viroloji ve immünoloji konularını içeren teorik derslerin yanında etkenlerin neden oldukları sistemik hastalıklar hakkında bilgi sahibi olur ve oral mikrobiyolojik hastalıkların tedavi bilgilerini sağlık hizmetlerini yürütürken kullanır.
Contents of the Course Unit: Mikroorganizmaların oluşturduğu diş hekimliğini ilgilendiren enfeksiyonlar, ağız mikroflorası, dental plak ve diş çürüğü mikrobiyolojisi, endodontik hastalıkların mikrobiyolojisi, periodontal hastalıkların mikrobiyolojisi, oral hastalıkların diğer sistemik hastalıklarla ilgisi, diş hekimliğinde antibiyotik kullanımı.

DERSİN ÖĞRENME ÇIKTILARI (Öğrenciler, bu dersi başarı ile tamamladıklarında aşağıda belirtilen bilgi, beceri ve/veya yetkinlikleri gösterirler.) Ağız hastalıklarında görülen mikroorganizmaları sınıflandırılarak anlaşılmasını sağlar. Periodontal hastalıklar, çürük, plak ve ağızla ilgili hastalıklardan sorumlu mikroorganizmaların kolonizasyonu, hastalık yapma mekanizmalarını öğrenir, diğer sistemik hastalıklarla ilgili bağlantılarını ve etkileşimini öğrenir. Bu etkenlerin neden oldukları hastalıkların tedavilerini tıbbi bilgilerle ilişkilendirir. Bu hastalıklarda kullanılan antimikrobik maddeler, temizleme, dezenfeksiyon ve sterilizasyon prensiplerini açıklar. Bu hastalıkların tanısında kullanılan mikrobiyolojik yöntemleri açıklar.
