OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS
Objectives of the Course Unit:	Diş hekimi adaylarının eğitim ve öğretimine yönelik teorik bilgileri vermek ve bu bilgiler eşliğinde klinikte hasta tedavisine yönelik pratik kazandırmaktır.
Contents of the Course Unit:	Bu dersin içeriği: Ağız, diş ve Çene Cerrahisinin tanımı ve hedefleri, sistemik hastalıklar, laboratuvar değerlendirme yöntemleri, preoperatif ve postoperatif hasta bakımı, sedsasyon ve genel anestezi endikasyonları ve kontaendikasyomları, diş hekimliğinde antibiyotikler, diş hekimliğinde profilaksi, diş hekimliğinde kullanılan analjezik ve antienflamatuvar ilaçların kullanımı, reçete yazarken dikkat edilecek kurallar, sterilizasyon ve dezenfeksiyon materyalleri ve kullanımı, çene cerrahisinde kullanılan cerrahi aletler kullanırken dikkat edilmesi gereken kurallar ve ortaya çıkabilecek komplikasyonlar, diş çekimi endikasyonları ve kontaendikasyonları, çene cerrahisinde ameliyat hazırlığı, insizyon ve sütür çeşitleri, gömülü dişlerin sınıflandırılması ve meydana getirdikleri komplikasyonlar, vücutta meydana gelen travmalar ve yara iyileşmesi mekanizması, diş çekimi sonrası yara iyileşmesi, apikal rezeksiyon endikasyonları ve kontraendikasyonları

Öğrenci; diş hekimliğinde klinikte göreceği ve kullanacağı materyalleri ve uygulayacağı teknikler hakkında bilgi sahibi olup kendini klinisyen olarak hisseder. Öğrenci; 1. Ağız, diş ve Çene Cerrahisinin tanımı ve hedeflerini ve laboratuvar değerlendirme yöntemlerini bilir ve açıklar 2. Sistemik hastalıklar hakkında genel bilgilere sahip olur ve diş hekimliğinde dikkat etmesi gereken noktaları bilir 3. Preoperatif ve postoperatif hasta bakımını yapabilir 4. Sedasyon ve genel anestezi endikasyonları ile kontaendikasyonlarını bilir ve nelere dikkat etmesi gerektiğini açıklar 5. Diş hekimliğinde kullanılan antibiyotikleri ve yan etkilerini açıklar 6. Diş hekimliğinde hastalara profilaksi yapabilir 7. Diş hekimliğinde kullanılan analjezik ve antienflamatuvar ilaçların kullanımı ve yan etkilerini açıklar 8. Reçete yazabilir ve yazarken dikkat edilecek kuralları açıklar, 9. Sterilizasyon ve dezenfeksiyon materyallerini ve kullanımını açıklar 10. Çene cerrahisinde kullanılan cerrahi aletleri kullanırken dikkat edilmesi gereken kurallar ve ortaya çıkabilecek komplikasyonları sıralar 11.
