OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This class aims to provide an ability to interpret political history and current political developments in the framework of basic concepts and theories related to nationalism and ethnicity.
Contents of the Course Unit: This class cconsists of not only theories related to nation, ethnicity and nationalism but also case studies in which political development process in various states and areas are analyzed in the context of these theories.

It defines the concepts of nation, nationalism and ethnicity.
It interprets the dimensions of current international problems related to nationalism.
It explains the role of nationalism in political history and current political life.

It analyzes basic evaluations of thoughts related to nationalism, referring to cases.
