OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS |

Objectives of the Course Unit: | The objective of this course is to introduce the general characteristics of Classical Turkish prose to the student, to provide the student with the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize, understand and analyze sample texts. Within the scope of the course, prose types such as “siyasetname”, “letaifname” etc. will be introduced and the student will be taught how to analyze them. Psychoanalytic literary theory will be taught, and the ability to interpret texts according to this theory will be gained. |
Contents of the Course Unit: | Information is given about the historical development of Classical Turkish prose, its general characteristics and style, and about recognizing and analyzing Classical Turkish literature prose texts. Information is given about genres such as “siyasetname” in Classical Turkish Literature, the periods in which these works were written, their purposes of writing, their authors' understanding of literature and the world, and Psychoanalytic Theory. |

Evaluates sample texts by considering the general characteristics of style, language, and prose. Psychoanalytic theory etc. Analyzes literary works of Classical Turkish literature. |
