OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: It is aimed to gain knowledge about basic concepts and theories in management, management and organization of health services, management activities in nursing services planning, organization, execution and coordination.
Contents of the Course Unit: Concepts and Theories Related to Management, Management Process, Management Process of Nursing Services, Management of Change in Nursing, Health Systems and Policies, Nursing Legislation, TCK and Nursing, Management Ethics, Leadership, Leadership in Nursing, Communication Management, Teamwork, Conflict Management, Total Quality Management , Problem Solving, Decision Making Process, Case Discussion, Patient Safety, Employee Safety, Planning of Nurse Manpower, Human Resources Management in Nursing Services, Career Development, Motivation, Burnout, Stress Management, Organizational Structure and Processes, Organizational Culture and Performance Evaluation.

Explains the concepts related to management and organization.
Chooses an appropriate and effective management model in the light of management concepts.

Explains the importance of motivation and performance evaluation in management.
Explains the basic values and ethical rules of nursing in the structure and functioning of health services.
